Recombinant albumin for use in the medical device industry

InVitria has developed recombinant human albumin for improved performance and safety over animal and human blood derived albumin.

Albumin is used to coat implantable biomaterials, as a substrate for surgical adhesives and sealants and related areas. InVitria’s Albumin DX-LR is produced in an animal-free, recombinant system (See ExpressTec) and provides superior safety and performance compared to alternatives. It also provides consistency from lot-to-lot.

Albumin DX-LR can be used to replace animal or human derived albumin in the following applications:
