Product Description

Serum albumin is a common blocking reagent used in diagnostic applications. Since Albumin-DX LR is recombinant albumin produced in a completely animal-free system, it is immunoglobulin and protease free. This reduces non-specific binding and cross reactivity thus improving specificity and reproducible results. In addition, Albumin-DX LR improves the stability of antibodies and analytes. Unlike bovine albumin or human serum albumin, Albumin-DX LR is a consistent reagent with no lot-to-lot variability or concerns about occupational safety, which arise with animal or human blood products. Being an animal and human free product also eliminates additional regulatory requirements associated with the import or export of blood products.

Research has shown that Albumin-DX LR outperforms both bovine albumin and human serum albumin and is a cost-effective way to improve diagnostic assay performance.
