InVitria's Cellastim Delivers Superior Results in Mammalian Cell Culture

Fort Collins, CO. Steve Pettit, Director of the company's Cell Culture Group, presented results of InVitria's (www.InVitria.com) Cellastim in mammalian cell culture at the 2008 BioProcess International Conference in Anaheim, California this week.

"Cellastim showed superior results compared to other sources of albumin and delivered an average of 50% improvement in productivity in CHO cell lines using variety of the leading chemically defined and animal free medias sold in the US," said Dr. Steve Pettit, Director of InVitria's Cell Culture Group.

Studies support InVitria's claim that its Cellastim product, an animal free recombinant human serum albumin, outperforms other chemically defined cell culture ingredients and is gaining acceptance by the biopharmaceutical industry as a supplement for cell culture media. Cellastim is a defined supplement that can enhance performance of chemically-defined media.

Additionally, InVitria's Lacromin product, which is an animal free recombinant lactoferrin, has proven to be a strong growth factor while simultaneously enhancing productivity across many cell lines.
