Lacromin-recombinant human lactoferrin for cell culture
:
10g ($420)
100g ($3,600)

Animal free & replaces growth factors IGF and Insulin. Well defined, consistent, & regulatory friendly - maximize productivity and cell growth.

Lacromin – Defined, animal-free, recombinant lactoferrin, specifically produced for use as a cell culture media supplement.

Lacromin is a powerful cell growth stimulator that protects cells from apoptosis and can replace more expensive IGF.

Lacromin is a cell culture media supplement that increases cell growth while protecting cells from apoptosis (programmed cell death). Lacromin is particularly well suited as a cell culture media supplement for CHO cells, stem cells, primary cells, and HEK293 cells.

Research has demonstrated that Lacromin often outperforms and is used as a replacement for more expensive Insulin Like Growth Factor (IGF). Lacromin is a simple, yet powerful tool to optimize media for maximum cell viability and growth. As a recombinant lactoferrin, Lacromin provides animal-free, defined and consistent performance.

Advantages:

  • Improves cell growth
  • Replaces more expensive IGF growth factor
  • Protects cells from apoptosis
  • Well defined and consistent
  • Animal-free, regulatory friendly

Cell Culture Media Comparisons

Lacromin increases primary cell growth

Comparison of Normal human skin fibroblasts grown in fibroblast growth medium either alone (Control) or supplemented with Lacromin.

Lacromin replaces costly growth factors

CHO cells were cultured for 14 days in a commercial serum-free media alone or supplemented with either insulin (10 mg/L), IGF-1 (229 µg/L), Long R3 IGF (273 µg/L), Lacromin (400 mg/L) or Lacromin (800 mg/L). Lacromin at 400 and 800 mg/L increased antibody production to higher levels than the other treatment groups.
